A little about when we started:

Our journey began in 2016, where we first started with customizing potted plants by hand painting them. For Ganesh Chaturti we made SOIL AND SEED MODAKS which grow into plants. That was our first step towards making a festival more environmental friendly.
We soon went on to make RANGOLIS which could also be sowed and planted. GiftGreen was the first ever venture to make SEED FLAGS for Independence Day. The motto was “Don’t throw me, Grow me”.

We now make Re-usable food wraps which can be a great alternative to single use plastic. A carefully curated personal care kit and a zero waste kit which can be a great start for your low-waste journey too.

We now conduct workshops on Gardening, Low-waste living and many such topics for adults and children both.

Our simple and straight aim:

We are here to give you sustainable alternatives for your daily conventional products, which could be harming the Environment and You. The idea is to keep the products simple and such that it serves a purpose.

We have kept the products and packaging really simple and we don’t intend to add more waste trying to make it look fancy or appealing. We would really appreciate if we are not asked for packaging which isn’t eco-friendly or recyclable. The personal care products are all made in small batches, so please bear with us when we go out of stock. We make them on our own with a lot of effort and love.

We are a venture which makes sure that the products are affordable and have been making them accessible to all. We want to encourage and spread awareness to tell people that Yes, there are many ways in which we all can contribute to a low- waste lifestyle. To make that possible we are here with a range of sustainable products to help one make better choices.

About our founder:

Mansi Shah has received formal education in Bachelors of Technology in Biotechnology and Masters of Science in Forensic Biotechnology. She was actively a part of research facilities during her college years, but always has been closely working with nature and animals. She was inclined to do something more in this area when she saw how festivals and celebrations were creating so much waste around us.

That is how GiftGreen was started. Ever since there has been no looking back for her. Mansi also spreads awareness through workshops and seminars. She loves working with younger children because she thinks that they are the future and can do help other too to make a change.

Know about our packaging:

We use corrugated brown boxes for most of our packages. You would be pleased to know that we also re-use brown boxes which we borrow from friends, family and our neighbours.

We make sure we use paper tape to seal our packages.
